Review: Loreal True Match Roller Foundation

L'Oréal True Match Roller Foundation in W1-2 Porcelain/Light Ivory

The L'Oréal True Match Roller Foundation is a pricey drugstore foundation at a whopping $14.99. This covers amazingly well, I only wished I had gotten the right color for me, but I still saw how it covered fully. Now, on the L'Oréal website, it says that the Finish is Natural. I would give that an almost true observation. However, the "handy dandy" roller applicator can immediately change the finish from "Natural" to "Cakey and Heavy-Looking".

The key on how to use the applicator is to not overdo the layering of the foundation. Below the following image, you will find a link on "How to Apply the True Match Roller".

Click Here to Watch 'How To Apply the True Match Roller"

When I applied on the foundation, I did have a problem with layering and layering the foundation (which is not advised). It left me feeling like I was wearing a mask and even when I did apply a powder over it, it still felt very dewey with a slightly heavy feel.

I will say that this foundation gives very Full coverage, but if you're willing to deal with touching up throughout the day but still want to maintain that flawless look, the L'Oréal True Match Roller Foundation is for you!

This foundation is suitable to wear outside because it has an SPF of 25. However, it is not suitable for photoshoots, as SPF in foundations can make you appear ghostly or "whiter" in photographs. I will say this foundation does even the skintone very well and if you look back at my pictures, you'll see that most of the redness is gone.

The only other con to the product is the "revolutionary applicator". It really hurts trying to apply the foundation. I didn't like the way it felt rolling onto my skin. Maybe, it's just me, or I apply to abrasively on myself, but it felt really uncomfortable. I'd say there are more cons than pros, but the pros outweigh the cons, in my opinion.

For The Price:
Maybe, it depends if you're willing to pull out the dough!

   For The Quality:

Yes, the coverage is great, but not giving it full 4 thumbs up because of the
applicator and finish of the foundation.

  Overall:
 2.5/5
Try It!

Again, every person's experience with this foundation will vary. I like that it gives full coverage, but the formula for long-lasting wear and finish must be fixed!

Wet n' Wild Color Icon Palette in Vanity

The Wet n' Wild Color Icon Palette in Vanity is a wonder of a palette! Especially since it's a drugstore brand! Plus there are dupes of each color to MAC eyeshadows! EasyAccessBeauty

Here's also a list of all of the dupes for the Vanity Palette:

MakeupAlley Swap Haul!

If you're a Beauty Watcher, then you must know all about MakeupAlley. MakeupAlley is your one-stop makeup forum for reviews, creating your own personal shopping logs, sharing your makeup looks and of course makeup swapping! I recently had my FIRST makeup swap with a lovely girl who goes by : hersupernature . She's a lovely makeup swapper and sent extra goodies! If you're ever on MakeupAlley, check out the Swap section and you'll find rare finds of the makeup you've always wanted.

The best part of swapping is that you don't have to pay for the product only shipping, which ranges from $1.90 - $4.95. Think about it, you're paying a couple of dollars to try higher ended products! It's a win-win. But remember, you have to have the goods, too! You can't expect to to swap a drugstore product for a higher end product.

For this swap, I swapped my Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer which had at least 50% product left. The lovely swapper fairly allowed me to get 2 products because they were drugstore brands and they were smaller than my Smashbox Primer. She even gave me an extra goodie: the eyeshadow!

Mary-Kate and Ashley Luminous Effects Finishing Creme

This was the first product I requested for and I always wanted this highlighter because of iwanted2c1video . She used this in one of her videos to highlight her cheekbones and nose and I was amazed!

First Impressions:
Gives a subtle glow, still a little sparkly for me, but I can deal with it, very liquid-y but it dries fast.

CoverGirl Advanced Radiance Restorative Cream Foundation in Medium Light
My second request was this cream foundation by CoverGirl with Olay ingredients in Medium Light.
First Impressions:

The color is a bit grey-ish pink in tone for me but the coverage: AMAZING! This gives you full coverage without the feeling of heaviness!

Markwins? Eyeshadow

This was the extra goodie that she put it in. Super cute, antique-y gold eyeshadow color.

First Impressions:
Not a color I would usually wear, but it has great pigmentation!

Markwins Eyeshadow, color: unknown.

Overall, this was a successful Makeup Swap! Loved everything I got and have had a Positive experience for my first time swap! I hope you delve deeper into the amazing world of Makeup Swapping!

Review: E.L.F. $1.00 Lipstick

The E.L.F. $1.00 Lipsticks recently came out earlier this year and I always loved the Mineral Line Lipsticks. However, even $5.00 seemed to be a stretch for me because when you add shipping, it's not as cheap as you think anymore. There's always coupon codes floating around the internet which may save you from the pricey shipping.

Now, the lipsticks off of the regular line doesn't look as fab and sleek as the mineral line lipsticks. The packaging in the regular line looks cheaper but it is unique. They do not have a very good range of lip colors to choose from and some of them are pretty similar.

The two lipsticks that I bought was Classy and Voodoo. Classy is the lightest shade and on the website it looks like a gorgeous pale milky pink. However it comes off more of as a slightly paler hot pink color.

E.L.F. Lipstick in Classy
Voodoo appears, on the website, to be a dark rich reddish-brown lip color. However, this color comes off very much lighter than the online image of it.

E.L.F. Lipstick in Voodoo
Swatches of E.L.F. Lipsticks in Classy and Voodoo
There are more cons than pros to these lipsticks. The downfall of these lipsticks is the colors and pigmentation. These are not at all long lasting. Once I swatched these two lipsticks on my hand and grazed just  a bit over them, the Classy lipstick almost vanished while the Voodoo lipstick had left a barely visible film of the color. Now, don't get me wrong, I actually like these colors, but E.L.F. needs to make a new formula on how to make it longer lasting. Another con to the lipstick....PACKAGING! I had my Classy lipstick for one day and it broke on me!

I don't know how on earth it broke so easily on me, but such poor packaging is intolerable! I actually liked this lip color, but it was totally destroyed in one day!

Now, the pros to these lipsticks is of course Price! The colors are indeed quite nice, even though they aren't the true colors shown on the website but they're still pretty colors.

So, would I ever buy this lipstick again and would I recommend it to you Beauty Watchers?

    For The Price:
Yes, I would recommend it.

   For The Quality:
No, I would not recommend this for quality!
(mainly because of packaging)

  Overall:
 3/5
Try It!

If you plan to buy these lipsticks, it's perfectly fine, but you shouldn't wear these on special occasions or events that are longer than the usual. So, try at least one lipstick out and see if you like it :)
